ILLINOIS STATE MEDICAL SOCIETY ENDORSES GOV. JB PRITZKER FOR THIRD TERM
Founded in 1840, ISMS is a professional membership association representing Illinois physicians in all medical specialties, and their patients, statewide.
For the past seven years, Gov. JB Pritzker has been a steadfast partner in Illinois physicians’ efforts to make the state a better place to practice medicine and for patients to receive the care they need.
From landmark reforms tackling prior authorization limitations to eliminating junk insurance plans and banning step therapy that keeps patients away from treatments that are working, Gov. Pritzker has always put common sense first, cutting through the administrative burdens that keep physicians from spending time with patients. That same commitment carried through to the recent health insurer downcoding reform law and much-needed changes to the approval process for treating workers who are injured on the job, both signed into law this year.
